irritated.

11:29 AM
i'm beginning to agree with an opinion i heard a while ago that students who've passed their 8th year exams with flying colours need not audition for the music festival. because, what does that say about the institution's exams? are they not credible? if they are, why bother with the audition when the student will confirm put up a good show?

i get the whole 'must-be-fair-give-everyone-an-equal-chance-bullshit' but while attempting to write a politically correct letter that cannot sound arrogant, and at the same time cannot sound like i am begging, i began to think, why am i doing this?

the simple answer: i need them more than they need me.

i asked one of the mandais there about my dilemma, and he says 'too bad'. TOO BAD. wtf. are you guys not fucking accommodating? how do you expect us to balance the demands of an education as well as cultural development if all you can tell me is 'too bad' and not 'let's see how we can help you'?

my ugly ego rears its head here. name me 5 people who are actively dancing as well as managing pretty well in their academic endeavours.
